PALOS VERDES, Calif. — The Baylor women’s golf team finished 11th at the Northrup Grummun Regional Challenge, as the Bears shot 24-over 308 in Tuesday’s final round at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Baylor finished with a 54-hole total of 49-over 901. The Bears, which entered the tournament with a No. 46 national ranking, did finish ahead of six top 50 teams.

A pair of Baylor freshmen recorded top-25 individual finishes in the 96-player field. Diane Baillieux carded her third consecutive round of 2-over 73 to finish tied for 11th place at 6-over 219. Gurleen Kaur, who was playing her first collegiate tournament after graduating high school early and enrolling at Baylor in January, tied for 23rd place with a 9-over 222 following a final round of 6-over 77.

Baylor returns home for two weeks before heading to the east coast to play in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, which runs March 2-4 at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
