Baylor freshman Yossiana Pressley won the Big 12 volleyball offensive player of the week honor on Monday.
Pressley is the first Big 12 freshman to claim the award since 2014. She blasted a career-best 20 kills on .381 hitting efficiency in Baylor’s 3-1 win over Kansas State on Saturday.
Pressley is the fourth different BU volleyball player to win one of the Big 12’s weekly honors this season, joining Camryn Freiberg, Katie Staiger and Hannah Lockin.
The Bears (16-4 overall, 6-1 Big 12) moved up a spot to No. 24 in the AVCA Top 25 this week, and are also 22nd in the national RPI rankings, a program best. They’ll host No. 11 Kansas (16-3, 5-1) in a Top 25 clash at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
