Even when you’ve got to work, paradise isn’t a bad place to be.
That’s the mindset of the Baylor volleyball team (4-2), which will open up action in the Outrigger Resorts Volleyball Challenge in Honolulu, Hawaii, starting Thursday.
The Bears will kick off the tournament against Nevada (2-4) at 9:45 p.m. Central on Thursday. Redshirt sophomore Shelly Fanning has returned to the Bears with a bang this season, after missing all of the 2016 season. Fanning leads the team in hitting efficiency, averaging 3.22 kills per set on .443 hitting.
Following the Nevada match, Baylor will play host Hawaii (2-4) on Friday before closing against 10th-ranked BYU (6-0) on Saturday.
