Baylor will send two athletes to next week’s NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships — one from the women’s team and one from the men.
For the men, Wil London has qualified for nationals in the 400 with the 11th-fastest time in the country at 45.95. The junior from Waco will try to win his first NCAA title. He did not qualify for nationals last year in the indoor season, but finished eighth nationally during the outdoor campaign.
For the women, Kiana Horton also qualified in the 400 with the 11th-best time, at 52.60, which ranks as the third-best indoor time in school history.
Baylor’s two NCAA entries are six fewer than last year. The NCAA meet is slated for March 9-10 in College Station.
