COLLEGE STATION — Baylor’s track and field teams both finished third at the four-team Texas A&M Quadrangular on Saturday.
The Baylor women scored 114 points, while the men picked up 75.5. The teams combined for three event titles at the meet, which also featured teams from A&M, Texas and Arizona State.
Baylor’s women’s 4x400 relay team won gold in a time of 3:35.63. Making up that quartet for BU was Kiana Horton, Aaliyah Miller, Kiana Hawn and Victoria Powell. Also on the women’s side, Anna West and Gabby Satterlee went 1-2 in the mile for the Bears, with times of 4:47.93 and 4:54.30, respectively.
For the BU men, senior Malik Wilson powered to the win in the 60-meter dash at 6.74 seconds, and Maxwell Willis was third at 6.79.
Baylor picked up silver medals at the meet from Willis in the 200 (21.24), Devin Meyrer (8.22.95) in the 3,000, the men’s 4x400 relay (3:09.92), Taylor Bennett in the women’s 200 (23.53) and Alison Andrews-Paul in the 800 (2:08.44).
Baylor will next compete at the Power Five Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Feb. 2-3.
