Former Baylor All-America softball player Lindsey Cargill is one of 56 players invited to the 2018 USA Softball Women’s National Team Selection Camp.
The players will try out Jan. 1-5 at the selection camp in Clearwater, Fla. The USA team will compete in the world championship in Chiba, Japan, Aug. 2-12, and will also compete in other events.
Cargill is currently a volunteer assistant coach for the Baylor softball team. She was named All-American as a senior this year after hitting a school-record .430, and she also set the Baylor career record with 253 hits. Cargill helped Baylor reach the Women’s College World Series in 2014 and 2017.
