Waco High forward Kayley Ables is among four soccer players who signed with Baylor on Wednesday.
Ables was joined by Flower Mound Marcus midfielders Maddie Algya and Taylor Moon and Flower Mound forward Elena Reyna.
“While small in number, the group consists of four of the top recruits in the state of Texas for the 2018 class,” said Baylor coach Paul Jobson who led the Bears to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament last season. “Not only will they bring extraordinary talent to our team, but they will fit very well into our culture as a program here at Baylor.”
Ables was the Tribune-Herald’s Super Centex player of the year in 2016 and holds Waco High’s scoring record with 100 goals in three seasons.
“We have always worked hard to keep the best kids in Central Texas at home,” Jobson said. “She is an incredible competitor with a tremendous work rate and has a knack for scoring goals.”
