Beep-beep all you want, Roadrunners, but the Bears were faster.
Freshman Ally Henderson netted the game-winner in the second half for the Baylor soccer team in a 1-0 win over the UT-San Antonio Roadrunners on Friday night at Betty Lou Mays Field.
Baylor (3-0-1) outshot UTSA, 23-1, aided by a stifling defensive effort. And though the Bears would end the first half without a goal, eventually they’d break through for the win.
On Baylor’s 13th shot of the night, Henderson poked one past the UTSA keeper to put the Bears out in front. That was a comfortable enough margin, as the Bears continued to control the ball and limit the Roadrunners’ chances.
Baylor will play again at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at home against Ball State.
