The Baylor men’s tennis team upset No. 15 Texas A&M in the opening round of the ITA Kick-off, 4-3.
The Bears jumped out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to a doubles win from Juan Benitez and Constantin Frantzen and a Johannes Schretter defeat of Max Lunkin at the No. 3 spot.
Tied at 2-2, Max Tchoutakian produced a three-set win on court two to give the Bears a 3-2 lead.
Constantin Frantzen sealed the win with a victory over Aggie freshman Valentin Vacherot.
The Bears take on SMU at 2 p.m. Sunday in College Station.
