Baylor men’s tennis put two singles players and one doubles team with wins in the Sherwood Collegiate Cup on Sunday in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Baylor’s Max Tchoutakian rallied for a 4-6, 6-1 (6-4) win over UCLA’s Evan Zhu in the singles semifinals. Baylor’s Juan Benitez defeated UCLA’s Joseph DiGiulio 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals.
In doubles semifinals, Benitez and Tchoutakian teamed to defeat UCLA’s Ben Goldberg and Logan Staggs, 6-0. Benitez and Tchoutakian will face USC’s Robbie Bellamy and Jake DeVine in the doubles finals on Monday at noon, followed by Benitez and Tchoutakian squaring off for the singles title following the doubles final.
