Baylor men’s golf will take their No. 5 national ranking to Tucson, Arizona, to compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate Golf Tournament to be played at Sewalio Golf Club Monday. The tournament will conclude Tuesday.
Other teams competing in the tournament will be No. 4 ranked California, No. 14 New Mexico along with Arizona, New Mexico State, Teas-El Paso and No. 22 USC. California, USC and New Mexico played in the NCAA Championships last year.
The 54-hole event will start with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Baylor’s head coach is Mike McGraw, now in his fourth year with the Bears. Ryan Blagg is the assistant coach. Baylor’s roster is a relatively young team, with one senior, two juniors, three sophomores and three freshman.
Baylor’s last outing was at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Tournament, played at the Royal Oak Country Club in Dallas on October 23-24, 2017. Baylor won the event by 19 strokes.
