FULTON, Del. — The No. 7 Baylor equestrian team knocked off No. 10 South Carolina in a match that ended early due to snowy conditions Friday at the Delaware State tournament.

The Bears (5-4) opened with a 3-1 win in reining as Carly Salter, Georgia Smith and Charlotte Green collected points. But South Carolina (2-8) took a 3-1 win in flat riding to tie the match.

Baylor came back with a 3-1 win in horsemanship as Abbie Demel, Elizabeth Forney and Kaylee Mellott scored points. The match ended when the fences portion was canceled due to poor weather.

Baylor will face Delaware State at 10 a.m. Saturday.
