COLLEGE STATION — The Baylor women’s cross country team ran to a third-place showing at the Aggieland Open on Friday night at the Watts Cross Country Course.

Baylor, which rested many of its top runners, finished with 108 points, taking third behind host Texas A&M (24 points) and second-place Tarleton State (62). Kasey Kinzel led the Bears, taking ninth on the 5,000-meter course with a time of 19:38.3.

Only three men competed for Baylor, so the Bears didn’t factor in the team scoring. Sophomore Seth Brown topped the team in 19th at 16:13.8. Former Robinson High School runner Quenten Lasseter took second in the race behind his Tarleton State teammate Justin Botello.
