MADISON, Wisc. — Maggie Montoya turned in one of her best races of the season for the Baylor women’s cross country team at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational Friday.
The junior clocked in at 19:56.0, a personal-best time for a 6,000-meter course, and finished in 11th place overall. She was in 20th at 4,000 meters, but closed with a strong kick to the line.
Peyton Thomas ran a PR of 20:53.4, finishing 88th, while Alex Davis was next for Baylor at 165th. The Bears finished 30th in the team race.
They’ll next run at the Big 12 Championships Oct. 31 at Oklahoma State.
