DENTON — With five runners navigating their way to the top seven, Baylor men’s cross country captured the team championship at the Ken Garland Invitational Saturday at the Eagle Point Cross Country Course.
Baylor’s women finished fourth in their division.
Baylor’s men displayed a winning pack mentality, finishing in order in third through seventh place. The Bears had a winning score of 25 points, 23 ahead of second-place UT-Arlington.
Eric Anderson was Baylor’s top finisher in third at 20:11.5, followed by Devin Meyer, Jordan West, Matt League and Matt Parnham.
For the women, Baylor’s top two runners placed 14th and 15th, respectively. Freshman Hana Marscheck ran 19:10.1, while fellow freshman Aaliyah Miller followed at 19:13.1.
