The Baylor men’s cross country team finished sixth at the Stanford Invitational Saturday. Sophomore Eric Anderson was the first Bear across the line for the third time in four races, finishing 16th overall at 24:18.1 in the 8,000-meter race.
Jordan West took 45th at 24:45.2. Baylor edged San Jose State by just one point for sixth.
Meanwhile at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, the Baylor women’s Maggie Montoya finished ninth, running 21:37.5 in the 6K race. Peyton Thomas (22.12.6) finished 25th.
Baylor didn’t factor in the team race, as only four runners competed.The BU teams will reunite next Saturday at the Chile Pepper meet in Arkansas.
