Baylor’s cross country teams will hit the course again for the first time in two weeks when they compete at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday.
A total of 20 men’s and women’s teams in the meet field are ranked, offering an opportunity for the Baylor teams to compete and challenge themselves against some of the nation’s elite. The BU women’s team is currently receiving votes in the national cross country poll, while the men are unranked but have won both of their meets this season.
“It looks like it’s going to be a great meet up there with great competition on both sides,” BU coach Todd Harbour said. “The women ran really well up there last year, and I think our men will be a lot better this year. They know what to expect.”
The women’s 5,000-meter race will start at 2 p.m. Friday, while the men’s five-mile race will follow at 2:45.
