Baylor catcher Shea Langeliers was named to Collegiate Baseball’s Freshman All-America team for 2017, becoming the first BU player to earn such a designation since 2010.

Langeliers, a freshman from Keller, Texas, hit .313 with 43 runs, 66 hits, 14 doubles, 10 home runs and 38 RBIs this year. He also threw out 44 percent of attempted base stealers and finished with a fielding percentage of .991.

Logan Vick and Max Muncy were the last Baylor baseball players to make Collegiate Baseball’s All-America squad.
