SAN ANTONIO – The beat goes on for the Baylor baseball team.
Four Baylor pitchers combined on a shutout in spearheading a 10-0 win over UT-San Antonio on Tuesday night, the Bears’ sixth straight win.
Baylor pitchers Hayden Kettler (3-0), Kyle Ott, Joe Heineman and Drew Robertson scattered nine hits while striking out 11 Roadrunner batters and walking none. Baylor now has six shutout wins on the season, the first time it’s hit that mark since 2000.
Meanwhile, the Bears (33-17) kept up their late-season hitting wonders. Kameron Esthay, Andy Thomas and Aaron Dodson all homered for the Bears, who took control with a three-run second inning.
Dodson went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and has increased his career-best batting average to .327 on the year.
Baylor will host Kansas State for its final regular-season series beginning Thursday at Baylor Ballpark.
