After taking a weekend series from Houston Baptist, the Baylor baseball team will challenge itself with a home game against No. 17 Dallas Baptist at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor Ballpark.

The Bears (2-1) are 4-1 against DBU under third-year coach Steve Rodriguez. Baylor also leads the all-time series, 50-26.

Baylor sophomore Cody Bradford won the Big 12 pitcher of the week on Monday and was one of nine national player of the week honorees by Collegiate Baseball. Bradford took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in a 1-0 win over Houston Baptist last Friday, and finished with a combined one-hitter along with closer Troy Montemayor.

Left-hander Tyler Thomas (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will draw the start for Baylor against the Patriots, who will counter with lefty Kody Funderburk.
