Baylor baseball’s Shea Langeliers and Troy Montemayor were honored with Big 12 weekly awards on Monday.
Langeliers, a freshman catcher, was named the Big 12 newcomer of the week. He hit .471 on the week with seven runs, one double, two home runs, four walks and eight RBIs. He is currently on a seven-game hitting streak.
Montemayor, meanwhile, won the Big 12 pitcher of the week honor. The junior closer posted back-to-back saves to seal the Oklahoma State series. In three appearances, he recorded three strikeouts and held batters to a .091 average.
Baylor (32-17) will travel to UT-San Antonio (28-22) on Tuesday for its final nonconference game of the season, beginning at 6 p.m.
