No. 9 Baylor women's tennis heads to West Coast
The ninth-ranked Baylor women’s tennis team will head to the West Coast for matches against a pair of top-12 Pac-10 foes this week.
The Bears (8-2) will meet No. 12 USC at 3:30 p.m. CST today before they take on No. 4 UCLA on Wednesday.
Baylor took a 5-2 decision over USC earlier this season, but the Trojans (8-4) — like the Bears — boast four singles players in the top 100, including three among the top 25.
Maria Sanchez heads the list at No. 5, while Allison Ramos and Danielle Lao are 21st and 22nd, respectively. Valeria Pulido rounds out the list at No. 91.
In doubles, Sanchez is part of two ranked teams, at No. 36 with Lyndsay Kinstler and No. 40 with Pulido.
