Ex-Lion Silmon takes 2nd at world juniors

MONCTON, New Brunswick — Ex-Waco High sprinter Charles Silmon took second place in the 100 after a photo review showed Dexter Lee won by .02 seconds.

Lee leaned forward at the finish line and clocked a 10.21 time.

Silmon clocked a 10.48 time in the semifinals, earning him second in his heat and third overall.

Baylor hurdler Christina Holland begins competition today.
