Business Improvement Grant: The Lorena Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has set aside some of the local sale tax funds to award to existing businesses in Lorena to upgrade their signs and store fronts.  See the new City web site for details on the application.

Texas Department of Agriculture awarded Lorena a $150,000 grant for public infrastructure improvements for Center Street parking, ADA access, and storm water drainage in the historic Old Town area. The Lorena EDC also provided an additional $45,000 for this project.  Design Work is underway with improvements to be constructed this summer.

Lorena EDC is proposing to partner with the Lorena ISD and assist in building a disc golf park on school property that will be available to Lorena residents after school hours.  This project is anticipated to occur this summer as well.
