Midway outfielder Todd Glaesmann is headed to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field.
Glaesmann is one of 36 high school baseball players from around the nation — and one of just six from Texas — who will compete in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
As a junior last season, Glaesmann hit .473 with 52 hits, 55 runs, five triples, 11 home runs and 56 RBIs for the Panthers en route to being named the Tribune-Herald’s Super Centex Player of the Year.
He became the first Midway player to win that award since Zach Duke in 2001. Duke now pitches for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Under Armour All-America Game will be televised live on ESPNU.
