At Waco ISD Stadium, the Lions scored on their first seven possessions in running past the Trojans, despite sitting out several starters, including quarterback Casey Pachall.

Brownwood (6-2, 2-1 in 16-4A) rushed for 299 yards, led by Corey Burr’s 126 yards, two-TD effort. Zach Green added 110 yards and a TD and quarterback Chris Munson danced for two rushing TDs and threw for another in his first start in more than a year.

University (1-7, 0-3) hung with Brownwood for a half and had a chance to enter halftime trailing only 24-20, but the Trojans were stopped four times inside the Lion 5-yard line.

Randy Price heaved 33 passes, connecting on 18 for 336 yards and three TDs. Demarcus Hicks scored on two long bombs of 70 and 78 yards and finished with 181 receiving yards, while Vencent Finley added seven grabs for 105 yards and a TD.
