CEDAR PARK — Midway showed the ability to bounce back on Friday night.
Panthers sophomore quarterback Corey Holmes passed for 206 yards and a touchdown and running back John Hubert ran for 107 yards and scored three times as Midway rocked Cedar Park Vista Ridge, 31-16.
The Panthers (1-1) lost to Stephenville, 41-7, in the Heart O’ Texas Kickoff Classic last week, and lost starting quarterback Todd Glaesmann in the process.
But Hubert helped buoy Midway by running for touchdowns of 32 and five yards and catching a 13-yard touchdown pass from Glaesmann.
