EDITORIAL: Time to tune in and hear our ideas for downtown
We seldom use this space to advise readers to turn on the TV, but we urge those interested in downtown development to switch on the Waco City Cable Channel (WCCC-TV) at 3 p.m. today to consider a presentation by famed urban planner John Fregonese to the Waco Downtown Development Steering Committee.
Fregonese, who spoke about some of the plans in a Trib Q&A, is shown speaking to the committee last week about plans to use ideas from spirited public sessions involving hundreds of Wacoans. The goal: growing the greater downtown area through 2050.
Because we believe in a well-informed citizenry, especially on this topic, we encourage you to tune in.
The broadcast is on Time Warner and Grande cable Channel 10 and in high definition on Grande Channel 410. It will be replayed at 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 p.m. next Saturday.
