We play it smart in America

I got up this morning and decided I would do no wrong. Really. Again.
I have been doing so since before I was a teenager. Back then, it was really my parents who decided that for me. In fact, they insisted. Now, I insist.
And you know what? It is ridiculously easy to do. The only problem appears to reside in self discipline and intelligent prioritization.
It's choices. Simple stuff.
My new book, Ted White and Blue — The Nugent Manifesto (Regnery Publishing) clearly identifies the extremely simple method by which, I, my loved ones and a whole bunch of Americans dedicate themselves to be an asset to their families, neighborhoods and America overall through conscientious goodwill and decency.
I outline how none of the horrific problems plaguing America exist whatsoever in my life. For example, since I have a soul and a conscience, I am incapable of drinking and driving. Only the mindless choose to do that.
Speaking of mindless: Some Americans squaller for gun control. The Nugent family, like the vast majority of American gun owners, already has perfect gun control. We do not need any outrageously counterproductive gun regulations that simply guarantee a target-rich environment for evil-doers to prey upon unarmed victims.
Gun control. Can you say, baaaa . . . baaaaa?
We do not need welfare reform in the Nugent house like so much of enslaved America does. Our souls and our consciences force us to have a work ethic. Therefore, we reject welfare.
Armed, ready
Border security? We have it. We have sent out the same message as other Texans that if you invade our property, we will shoot you. Viola. No invasions, nobody getting shot. Perfect.
And here's two favorites rolled into one: Though we have basic health care, because we live within our means and wouldn't be so stupid as to purchase bling bling instead of health care, by and large we don't need health care. Why? Because, lo and behold, we actually care about our health.
We won't allow blubber to form on our sacred temples. We don't let poisons like drugs, alcohol or tobacco make us sick. Therefore we spend less of our hard-earned money on expensive health-care damage control.
And we don't bother throwing massive amounts of money around aimlessly to educate us. We educate each other by caringly correcting mispronunciations, misspellings, bad grammar, even posture. We supply the history, geography, cultural and other educational considerations that may have slipped through the gaping cracks (chasms) of the ineffective education system in America.
Oh, and I almost forgot, we only use the left lane when we are actually passing another vehicle. You see, we pay attention so we are not rude to other Americans who may want to get by us on the highways. We admit we are weird.
I could go on. In Ted White and Blue I do. And I can hear the hippies squallering already. The left can't stand rugged individualism or self sufficiency, much less good will and decency.
All these attributes terminally torpedo the left's clamoring for control and demand for excuse mongering. Just like the reasons for America's problems are in the mirror, so to are the solutions. Choices.
