Regina Jarvis

Regina Jarvis, 79, of Waco, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2018, at Cornerstone Baptist Church 1601 S. Robinson Dr., with Pastor Jim Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.

Regina was born on August 12, 1938, in High Point, NC, to Reginald and Anna Mae Haddon Dawson. She married her high school sweetheart Wade, they've been together for 60 years. They have been residents of Waco for 51 years. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and served many years at Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a loving Mom and Mamaw.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wade; daughters, Pam Westerfield and husband, Mark, Cindy Moorefield, and Sarah Dreyer and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Josh Westerfield and wife, Sarah, Ashley Christianson and husband, Cody, Mandy Westerfield, and Oliver Stone, Brandon Jarvis and wife, Lacy, Grace Thornhill and husband, Mike, and Jerrod Dreyer and wife, Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Harper Westerfield, Noah and Mia Christianson, and Hattie Jarvis; brothers, Terry Dawson of High Point, NC, and Michael Dawson of Hopewell, NJ.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Graham, Dr. Buck Cross and their staff.

I AM IN TOTAL SHOCK TO HEAR ABOUT REGINA. WADE AND REGINA ARE THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT A LOVING COUPLE SHOULD BE. IT WAS SO UPLIFTING TO SEE THEM HOLD HANDS IN CHURCH.. WE ENJOYED A COFFEE CAKE SHE GAVE US FOR CHRISTMAS.. WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL LADY AND COUPLE.. A REAL EXAMPLE OF HOW LIFE SHOULD BE LIVED. ONLY FEW PEOPLE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO EXPERIENCE WHAT WADE AND REGINA HAD IN LIFE AND GOD WAS ALWAYS THE CENTER OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND THEIR LIVES.. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY WE WILL ALL MISS REGINA... BUTCH

Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends. I have known Mr & Mrs Jarvis all my life. Grew up going to the Sunday School class they use to teach. They love every kid as if they were their own. Super sweet people and always smiling and holding hands. Mrs Jarvis greatly be missed
