Jeannette AlbersApr. 3, 1934 - Nov. 6, 2017Jeanette "Babe" Albers, age 83, of Woodway, passed away on Monday morning November 6, 2017, funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, November 9, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Chapel, 3124 Robinson Dr., with the Rev. Scott Spence officiating. Interment will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.Mrs. Albers was born on April 3, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lock, where she attended school. On March 3, 1950, she married Donald Harry Albers in Pochahontas, Arkansas.Much of her life was spent in the printing business. For eight years, she was employed by Petmilk in St. Louis, Missouri, as an Administrative Assistant. After Donald was transferred to Waco, she began her employment with Hill Printing as a press operator for eight years prior to her 1974 retirement. During her life, Jeanette enjoyed many things. One being dancing, she enjoyed dancing the jitterbug at the Casalona Ballroom in St. Louis, and later at Geneva Hall in Waco. She enjoyed knitting and cooking, she was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ, as long as her health permitted, she was a member of the Women's Guild and helped serve meals at the church.Preceding her in death were her parents, and step-brother, Art Zeis.Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Donald Albers; daughter, Connie Ringer; granddaughter, Mandy Bonora; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tiffany, Sarah, Faith, and Aubrey.For those desiring, the family has suggest St. Johns United Church of Christ, 100 S.
