St. Paul's Episcopal Church history program to be held Thursday

Saturday June 11, 2011

“The Living History of St. Paul’s,” a free public presentation by the Waco History Project and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Parish Hall, 515 Columbus Ave.

Since Ash Wednesday 1879, Waco Episcopalians have been worshiping at the site, making it the oldest church building still in use in the city.

Light refreshments will be served 6:30 p.m., followed by a program at 7 p.m. led by Randy Schormann.

After a brief photo history, guests will move to the nave for a show-and-tell history of the structure. Members of the congregation will guide tours of the new Chapel and Great Hall.

For more information, contact Randy Schormann at r.schormann@ctxwifi.net, or visit www.WacoHistoryProject.org.
