Brazos Past: Famous faces in Waco places

Waco is known as the birth place of such celebrities as Steve Martin, Peri Gilpin, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
And the Heart of Texas city has seen its share of visiting celebrities over the years.
From campaigning presidents to star athletes and actors, Waco has often been a stop on the road of fame.
Brazos Past will continue to share some of these tales in coming months, and is seeking additional photographs. Do you have pictures from when Louis Armstrong played at Taborian Park? Or from the time “Star Trek” stars William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy visited the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo?
