The Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily close a stretch of Old Robinson Road at Loop 340 on Sunday for construction, TxDOT officials announced this week.

Road crews will close the intersection of Old Robinson Road at Loop 340 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. to set bridge beams for new highway lanes over Old Robinson Road, TxDOT spokesman Ken Roberts wrote in a press release. Northbound and southbound traffic needing to access Loop 340 from Old Robinson Road will be detoured east or west.

Motorists should use caution and watch out for construction personnel and equipment in the area, Roberts wrote. Old Robinson Road is scheduled to reopen after construction is done late Sunday night.
