Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in a drainage ditch along Waco Drive on Sunday, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

The man's body was found behind 2801 W. Waco Drive, near the Lee Lockwood Library and Museum. Swanton said the body was found in a drainage ditch and police initially ruled the discovery as a "questionable death."

The man was identified by police, but authorities have not released his identity pending notification of his family. No additional information was available late Tuesday morning.
