A  36-year-old man was arrested Saturday after a Child Protective Services investigation alleged a girl under the age of 14 was sexually assaulted multiple times in December, an arrest affidavit states.

Jose Guadalupe Banda, of Waco, was arrested after CPS forwarded information to Waco police about allegations a young girl made against Banda. According to the affidavit, the girl underwent a medical exam where she allegedly said Banda "made her feel uncomfortable."

The girl said Banda sexually assaulted her three or four days in a row in late December, the affidavit states. The girl was able to give a timeline for the offenses as well, police reported.

"(The) defendant spoke to (police) about a speaking interview, but did not show up," the affidavit states. "(The) defendant reported the victim had made allegations in the past. She had and that offense was investigated."

Police arrested Banda and took him to McLennan County Jail on three first-degree felony charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was also booked in on three unrelated outstanding driving warrants from Falls and Brazos counties.

Banda remained jailed Monday evening with a bond listed at 252,000.
