A Robinson man was arrested Sunday night after he threatened a woman with a knife and caused an abrasion to her head during a domestic disturbance, Robinson Police Chief Phillip Prasifka said.

Police were called to the 100 block of Emberwood Drive shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday after a domestic disturbance was reported between Jason Thomas Gallimore, 43, of Robinson, and a 45-year-old female family member, Prasifka said. A verbal altercation escalated, and the woman suffered an abrasion on her head when the fight became physical, he said.

The woman was not seriously injured during the altercation, and she refused medical treatment at the home, Prasifka said. Police later learned Gallimore displayed a knife during the fight, but no one was injured with the knife, Prasifka said.

Gallimore was arrested on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken to McLennan County Jail and released after posting a $25,000 bond Tuesday afternoon.
