Lacy Lakeview police are searching for a man they believe stole alcoholic beverages from at least three Lacy Lakeview businesses on Christmas day and last week, Police Chief John Truehitt said.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 4511 N. Interstate 35 early Christmas morning when a man dubbed the "Booze Bandit" stole a case of beer from the business, Truehitt said. A few hours later, a man matching the same description stole a bottle of champagne at the Chevron Food Mart, 1019 E. Craven Ave., he said.

There was a similar theft of a case of beer from Family Dollar, 1011 E. Crest Drive, last week, Truehitt said. The suspect description was also similar in that incident, he said.

Additional alcoholic beverage thefts have happened outside Lacy Lakeview, and police are working with other agencies in locating the man, Truehitt said. Police released surveillance photos of the man they believe is responsible and a pickup truck he is believed to be driving.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or whereabouts is asked to contact the Lacy Lakeview Police Department at 799-2479.
