Police have “hit a wall” in the search for a Waco woman who has been missing since late December and may be in the company of a man for whom police are also searching, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Stephanie Torres, 43, was last seen Dec. 21 in East Waco by family before she was reported to have left her home in the 700 block of Rusk Street. Swanton said she was last seen driving her blue 2006 Kia, but she left her wallet and cellphone at her home.

Swanton said Torres was reportedly dating a man by the name of Bruce who is known for riding a bicycle around East Waco. Police have not been able to locate Bruce and police are seeking information on his whereabouts as well.

Police requested the public’s assistance in late December, but Swanton said no additional information has helped in finding Torres. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waco police detective Melissa Thompson at 750-7500.
