A Boost Mobile store at 1922 Park Lake Drive was robbed at about 8 p.m. Thursday, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said in a press release.

A man went to the counter, showed a clerk a pistol in his waistband and demanded money, Swanton said. The clerk gave the man money from the register, and he fled, last seen heading south on North 20th Street, he said.

The robbery Thursday may be related to a robbery Tuesday at a Boost Mobile store at 2514 W. Waco Drive, Swanton said. At the time of the robbery Tuesday, police said it may be linked to a string of three robberies at dollar stores that started about two weeks ago at a Family Dollar in Bellmead.

A Family Dollar in West and a Dollar General in Hewitt also have been robbed since late last month.
