The driver of a Ford F-150 was flown to a hospital after a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 6 southeast of Waco on Friday afternoon.

Emergency responders were called to the 6000 block of Highway 6, just past Tehuacana Creek, at about 1 p.m. The pickup appeared to have left the highway and crashed in a grassy median.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken by air ambulance to a medical facility as northbound traffic remained stalled. Officials did not say where the driver was taken.

McLennan County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted Texas Department of Public Safety officials with traffic control. Troopers said the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details were available.
