A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on charges he orchestrated prostitution arrangements between a woman and unknown sex buyers at a Waco motel this spring, an arrest affidavit states.

McLennan County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Jamoni Johnson, of Killeen, after he was accused of forcing a woman to engage in sex with sex buyers in mid-April. Detectives spotted an online ad, allegedly posted by Johnson, advertising sex with the woman for a predetermined fee at a Waco motel, the affidavit states.

Officers conducted surveillance at the motel and determined the woman was in the room. The affidavit states undercover detectives entered the room, detained the woman on a prostitution charge and collected evidence, including a the woman's cellphone.

Detectives got a search warrant for the woman's phone and found text messages between the woman and Johnson, the affidavit states. Conversations allegedly reveal Johnson told the woman to be "focused on getting this money."

The arrest affidavit states the messages indicate Johnson posted the online ads for the Waco area.

Johnson was arrested on a Class A misdemeanor charge of promotion of prostitution and taken to McLennan County Jail. He posted a $2,000 bond and was released from custody Thursday.
