A 78-year-old man was arrested Wednesday, accused of touching a girl under the age of 12 in a sexual manner and exposed himself to her in 2014, an arrest affidavit states.

Crimes Against Children detectives received a report last year from a family member of the child that Juan Deleon had sexually assaulted her in a South Waco home, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said. Several other members of the girl’s family also reported Deleon had touched her inappropriately, according to an arrest affidavit.

During a forensic interview, the girl said Deleon exposed himself to her, tried to get her to touch him and also touched her, according to the affidavit.

Deleon was 75 years old at the time of the incident, the affidavit states. Two warrants were issued for his arrest.

Deleon was arrested Wednesday on a two third-degree felony charges of indecency with a child. He posted a bond listed at $10,000 and was released from McLennan County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
