A 20-year-old man was arrested Sunday for trafficking a young girl into a sexual relationship against her will while he threatened to release a video of the two having sex, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Johnny Isiah Reed, of Waco, was arrested Sunday after police were called to a local hospital in June, where they met with a girl under the age of 16 who told police she began to have consensual sex with Reed. Swanton said Reed told the girl that he had a video of the two having sex and that he would release the video to people she knows if she did not continue in the sexual relationship.

Reed allegedly paid a person money to bring the girl to a house where the two would have sex, Swanton said. Because of the payment from Reed, he was charged with first-degree felony trafficking of a person.

Police arrested Reed on Sunday before he posted a bond listed at $100,000 and was released from custody Monday.
