A man and woman were injured and another man was arrested after a shooting Saturday morning, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said in a press release.
Police responded to a call at 713 Frost Ave. at about 10:15 a.m. Tunde Sulaimon, 25, was found with a gunshot wound to his back and taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Swanton said.
Police believe Jerald Johnson, 51, shot Sulaimon, Swanton said. Johnson was arrested at the scene on an aggravated assault charge.
Johnson's daughter was also shot in the arm and had been transported to the Providence emergency room in a private vehicle by the time police arrived, Swanton said. He did not provide her name or age but said she was caught between Johnson and Sulaimon.
Police believe Sulaimon also fired at Johnson before officers arrived, but the incident remains under investigation, Swanton said.
