Hewitt police are seeking the public's help to identify two suspects who allegedly stole two tires from a Walmart store earlier this month, Hewitt Police Chief Jim Devlin said.

Police were called to Walmart, 733 Sun Valley Blvd., at about 10:15 p.m. Oct. 11 after two men had reportedly stolen two vehicle tires from the automotive section of the store. Devlin said one man left the store and drove to the back side of the business in a gold-colored Dodge Caravan while the second suspect remained in the store.

The second suspect pushed a cart, removed two tires from a display and loaded the tires into the cart. The suspect exited the store through a rear fire exit where the first suspect was waiting in the van.

The tires were loaded into the van and both suspects left the business. Devlin said the value of the tires was estimated at $216.

Police released surveillance photos of the two suspects and the van Wednesday afternoon. Devlin said investigators are seeking the public's help in hopes of identifying the suspects.

Anyone with information about the possible identities of both men is asked to contact the Hewitt Police Department at 666-6272.
