A Hewitt man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Georgetown on Thursday night, News Radio KLBJ 590 reported.

Johnie Ray Franklin, 50, was killed in the crash. He was traveling south on Highway 130 when traffic was slowing for a vehicle on fire near County Road 152. KLBJ reported Franklin was traveling at a high rate of speed and was unable to stop.

Franklin struck the back and side of one vehicle and was thrown into the back of a second vehicle, according to the radio station’s report. He was taken to Seton Hospital of Williamson County, where he was pronounced dead.

A Williamson County judge ordered Franklin be sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy, according to KLBJ.

Georgetown police did not respond to a message Friday afternoon seeking confirmation of the information.
