A 21-year-old man turned himself in to police Tuesday for allegedly shooting at another man last week in a strip mall parking lot on West Waco Drive.

Fabian Ray Rivera, of Hewitt, was arrested after police began searching for him after he was allegedly involved in an argument with another man in the 2400 block of West Waco Drive on Thursday. Police initially said the men were arguing outside several businesses when the shooting started outside Look At Me Now barber shop.

One vehicle was hit at least twice before both men ran from the area. No one was injured by the gunfire. Police detained one man near North 24th Street and Fort Avenue shortly after the shooting, but did not believe he was the shooter.

Police continued to gather information and a warrant for Rivera's arrest was later obtained by police. Fabian was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of deadly conduct.

Rivera was taken to McLennan County Jail, where he remained in custody Wednesday afternoon with a bond listed at $250,000.
