Waco police are investigating the armed robbery of a local smoke shop after a patron alerted police to the business robbery late Monday night, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Police were called to Smoke-n-More, 1920 W. Waco Drive, shortly after 10 p.m. when a customer contacted police to report the business had been robbed. The customer told police a man wearing a thick black ski mask, gray hoodie, blue jeans and carrying a long gun entered the store and demanded money.

The suspect fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running east on Barnard Street.

Swanton said for an unknown reason, the store clerk would not cooperate with officers and appeared hesitant. No arrests were made Tuesday as police continue to investigate.
