A Bellmead man was arrested Wednesday after a teenage boy claimed the man used oral sex to punish him for several months in 2014, an arrest affidavit states.

Ruben Arredondo, 36, was arrested by Bellmead police after a family member of the teenage victim reported the abuse on Oct. 12. The affidavit states that the victim was 14 years old when Arredondo pressured him to engage in oral sex beginning in 2014.

"A forensic interview was conducted and the victim states that (Arredondo) used oral sex as a form of punishment," the affidavit states. "The (abuse) began in the late winter/early spring of 2014 when the victim was 14 years of age and continued until the end of 2014."

Police interviewed other witnesses who corroborated the victim's statements, the affidavit states.

Arredondo was arrested on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child and was taken to McLennan County Jail. He later posted a bond listed at $20,000 and was released from custody Thursday morning.

Bellmead police Sgt. Kory Martin said police continue to investigate the crime and other charges are possible.
